Arriving by car:
The directions provided by google maps are correct except for the last part. It says that you need to get out of the car and cross a field by foot in order to arrive, that is false. We are working with google to change this part of the directions. You need to continue driving until you pass the village and cross a small bridge, after that you will see the Planta sign by a small street, there you need to take a left and continue for about 300 meters. Once you see a house with flower fabric on the walls and doors, you will be here 🙂 .
Arriving by colectivo taxi (shared taxis, the equivalent of public transport in our area):
In order to arrive by colectivo to Planta, it is necessary to arrive to “El Crucero de Santa Maria Huatulco”, which is the large intersection between highway 200 (running roughly east-west) and the road from Santa Maria Huatulco to San Agustin (running roughly north-south).
Once at El Crucero you need to take another colectivo taxi in the direction of San Agustin Bay. You can tell the driver that you would like to go to Planta.
It is necessary to pass two villages called “El Arenal, Barrio Agencia” and “El Arenal Barrio de Guadalupe” as well as a small bridge that crosses over a (sometimes dry) stream. It is possible to arrive from Huatulco Airport by car, colectivo taxi, as well as private taxis.
Private Taxi from the Airport:
You can take a private taxi from the airport, or use a local taxi service with a base 1 km away. Airport taxis are usually quite more expensive than local ones.

If you book a local taxi, it is necessary to walk out of the airport and meet them in front of the gas station across the street, it is a bit of a walk, but the rate is usually much lower.
