Planta is committed to the conservation and regeneration of our Earth, implementing permaculture, agroforestry, as well as eco-technologies. During your stay you contribute to the protection and conservation of 21 hectares of primary forest.
Within Planta you can find multiple accommodation options in a natural, integrated and artistic environment with various self-managed amenities. We are lucky to be surrounded by 7 hectares of farmland, which is in the process of regenerating from a once intensive monoculture to a permaculture based organic farm. Our overall project aims to incorporate different agroecological systems, such as biointensive agricultural beds and, above all, syntropic agroforestry, as well as integrate elements of art and design wherever possible. Our main house is nestled among a variety of lush fruit trees, making it a cool and comfortable place to spend time relaxing or socializing with like-minded travelers. Within our farm we offer a glamping retreat experience in cabin and camping format for conscious travelers near four beautiful beaches: Riscalillo, San Agustín, El Coyote and El Arenal.
Your stay includes a multi-person co-working area, parking, garden views with a fire pit, shared kitchen, outdoor showers, dry toilets, and Starlink WiFi. Our accommodations are built with wood and mosquitoes so you can enjoy the outdoors even when you are inside. We host monthly events where you can get to know our community and meet other like-minded travelers. Note the warm climate in the general area and the lively presence of nature’s smallest creatures.
The plant is located in Santa María Huatulco, 16 miles from downtown Huatulco/Crucecita, 20 miles from the entrance to Huatulco National Park (Planta’s property borders the other side of the national park), and 6.8 Miles from Huatulco International Airport (where you can find the closest ATM). Planta also offers the management of a paid local transportation service.

Dry toilets
We value our natural surroundings and resources which is why we choose to use dry toilets which produce excellent compost for the land. All of our toilets are made of ceramic or wood and and provide a clean, comfortable, and pleasant experience.
Grey water management
We manage our grey water by channeling it towards our main pond to be naturally filtered or directly for watering some of our plants. We provide biodegradable 2 in 1 soap / shampoo and ask our guests to please use biodegradable products.
Electric Power
Planta’s electric energy is powered by our local power company which uses wind energy for the Huatulco area.
