Planta 🌱 is an organic farm, digital nomad hub, and retreat center. It was handcrafted by its creators with the help of dozens of volunteers and some local friends who came together to create a regenerative and fun space where freedom and expression can thrive.
Planta is committed to the conservation and regeneration of our Earth, implementing permaculture, agroforestry, and eco-technologies. During your stay, you contribute to the protection and conservation of 21 hectares of primary forest.
There, you can find multiple accommodation options in a natural, integrated, and artistic setting with various self-managed amenities. We are fortunate to be surrounded by 7 hectares of farmland, which is in the process of regenerating from an intensive monoculture to a permaculture-based organic farm. Our overall project aims to incorporate different agroecological systems, such as biointensive agricultural beds and, above all, syntropic agroforestry, as well as integrating elements of art and design wherever possible. Our main house is nestled among a variety of lush fruit trees, making it a cool and comfortable place to spend time relaxing or socializing with like-minded travelers. Within our estate, we offer a glamping retreat experience in a cabin and camp format for conscious travelers near four beautiful beaches: Riscalillo, San Agustín, El Coyote, and El Arenal.

Your stay includes a shared workspace for several people, parking, a garden view with a fire pit, a shared kitchen, outdoor showers, dry toilets, and Starlink Wi-Fi. Our accommodations are built with wood and mosquito netting so you can enjoy the outdoors even when you’re inside. We host monthly events where you can meet our community and other like-minded travelers. Note the warm weather in the general area and the lively presence of nature’s smallest creatures.
Located 12 km from Huatulco International Airport (where the nearest ATM is located), 26 km from downtown Huatulco/Crucecita, and 32 km from the entrance to Huatulco National Park (Planta’s property borders the other side of the national park). Planta also offers paid local shuttle service.

Composting Toilets
We value our natural environment and resources, which is why we choose to use composting (dry) toilets, which produce excellent nutrients for the soil. All of our toilets are made of ceramic or wood and provide a clean, comfortable, and pleasant experience.
Graywater Management
We manage some of our graywater by channeling it into our main pond to be naturally filtered or directly to water some of our plants. We offer biodegradable 2-in-1 soap/shampoo and ask our guests to use biodegradable products.
Electricity
Planta’s electricity is supplied by our local electric company, which uses wind energy for the Huatulco area.
